Create Positive Change Through Mind Power

Victor Hugo once said that the invasion of an army can be stopped, but not an idea whose time has come.  An idea?  Can you imagine an idea being more powerful than an army?  Difficult to believe, but very true.  An army is a physical force which can be fought against, but an idea takes root in the mind and can propel people to do things which are ordinarily unimaginable.

When the children of Israel wanted to leave Egypt, it was not an army that was sent to liberate them.  The idea of freedom was sown in their minds and took root there.  Their faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob joined with the power of belief in their minds.  They began to believe against all odds that they could be liberated and to act in accordance with the dictates of their minds.  That was mind power at work.  They had to believe that they could be free before it could happen.

The mind is so powerful that it can create and even change events.  It can alter circumstances and manipulate conditions, whether physical or otherwise.  No matter what is in store for you, without your mindset being in alignment, it cannot manifest.  This accounts for why the issue of faith is always reduced to the person affected.  If you want a phenomenal change, you must first believe that it can happen, otherwise you will defeat the entire purpose.  This also accounts for why some people effect such changes, but end up losing it.  They did not allow the idea take root in their minds and mere visual circumstances deterred them.  The result is that they weakened the power of their minds and lost the attendant ability to alter circumstances.

It all boils down to this; if you want to change your circumstances, you have to change your mind set.  You have to fill your mind with the idea which you want to bring to fruition.  Once this idea takes root and grows, what you need for it to manifest will come to you.  Recall how Moses got help from his cousin even when he feared for his stuttering?  Time and again, in the history of the world, circumstances have been repeated proving the primacy of mind power and the ability of people to do the extra ordinary by exercising the power of their mind.  That has not changed today; the mind is as powerful today as it has always been.  The ball lies in the court of those who desire to bring about change in the world to start by developing their most potent power; that of the mind.

In the Second World War, one tactic which was employed by the axis powers controlling the Pacific, targeted the morale of the American soldiers who were fighting in the region as well as those in the Prisoner of War camps.  A radio station would broadcast a program regularly, featuring a lady who played songs and interspersed it with questions directed at the soldiers asking them what they imagined their wives or girlfriends were doing at that moment.  These questions sought to demoralize the soldiers by raising issues which weakened their morale.  They knew that the soldiers looked forward to going home to their families, their girlfriends, and fiancées.  Their aim was to reduce or destroy the troop’s mind power, knowing the link between mind-body communication.  The human mind in dire circumstances seeks an anchor to prevent it from drifting.  It looks forward to a target; something to live for, and it is your duty to strengthen your mind by giving it something to fixate on and work towards.

When Jacob sought Rachel’s hand in marriage, her father Laban put some terms before him to which he agreed.  He spent seven years in servitude to Laban for the purpose of the end he was pursuing.  He had obviously empowered his mind to look forward to marrying Rachel and so any duty which was set before him became a challenge he could take on.  With his mind focused, it made it difficult for his body to accept tiredness or any excuse which would impede his mission.  Jacob’s mind power was tuned up to a level that pushed his body to accept nothing less than the result he had inputted into it.  That is the kind of force which the power of the mind has on the human body and is another example of mind-body communication.  The body becomes a servant of the mind and ultimately acts so as to achieve the end which the mind has pre-determined.

You may have neither fought in the Second World War nor had terms imposed on you by a prospective father-in-law, but you have to understand that every day you face many of the same challenges which the soldiers and Jacob faced.  You hear messages from those close to you and even those you do not know which undermine your purpose in life, and if those messages are allowed to sink in and take root, your mind power is weakened, and knowingly or otherwise, you could be faced with subtle, yet powerful mental obstacles. This is why it is so important to gain control over the thought processes of your mind and thereby overcome any negative roadblocks that are thrown at you.  There is no strength like that of the mind and no physical exercise which can equal it.

Empower Your Mind And Fulfill Your Destiny

What is it that makes it possible for one man to be great and another mediocre? Could it be destiny or just chance? The fact is that most people are just casual passersby in this exciting journey which we call life. Let us take the prophet Elisha for example; he wanted to be as great as his master Elijah and so when he was asked what he wanted from his master, he unhesitatingly made a request for a double portion of his master’s anointing. Simple story maybe but therein lies a gem of a lesson; the younger prophet already had a vision in his mind. The picture of what he wanted was lucid in his mind such that even if he was asked in his sleep, he could state it and not just that but also the necessary requirements for achieving that end. He had not only discovered but nurtured and made use of the power of his mind.

The fulfillment of destiny starts from the mind of each individual. Everyone in the history of mankind who has attained a lofty position never got there by error. The story is often told of how Abraham Lincoln strove in vain for one elective office after another until he finally got into the White House. There can be no doubt whatsoever that his mind had continuously held that picture unwaveringly all those years. The tribulations he suffered would have deterred most men but he kept exercising his mind power until the picture he held materialized.  He was not the first to occupy the White House but generations after and those yet unborn speak of him reverently.

What most men call destiny is nothing but the fulfillment of the picture in one man’s mind held long, faithfully and unwaveringly.  In other words, the culmination of the exercise of their mind power. Where most men are satisfied to accept any position in life, a few accept nothing less than that which they know suits their abilities. Elisha was not satisfied with being just another prophet, he wanted to be extraordinary and to be that, he had to first believe it and then create it. The manifestation of his desires began when his master asked what he wanted of him. How many would have dared to ask that of Elijah except one who had control over the power of his mind? Did he get his reward? Of course he did as will everyone who learns to master the power of his mind and control over his/her destiny.

The World of Alpha

For many years the psychology field assumed it was impossible for a person to drop voluntarily down to alpha and retain conscious thinking control.

Alpha is the state where your brain rhythm tends to “center” around 10 cycles per second (cps).

It was always assumed that once a person entered alpha (like the daydream state), they would be unable to direct their thoughts and probably fall asleep. This was until Jose Silva demonstrated otherwise. He proved conclusively that people could operate consciously in alpha and retain control of their thinking at the same time. These days there are people who can drop down to a lower level of Theta (3-7cps) – and still maintain conscious control! There are even a handful of people who can drop down to mind-awake-body-asleep in delta!

What is happening at this level is that your conscious and your subconscious mind are operating simultaneously, giving you an increase in mental capacity and opening up your 6th sense.  Women tend to use both brain hemispheres when solving problems which may give them extra intuitive capacity.

It was also discovered that a person could drop to alpha with their eyes open (you do this when you daydream) which offered another major advantage for the business executive.

But to all intents and purposes the alpha state is considered to be similar to a light self-hypnotic state. At least the outcome with regard to positive and habit-transforming programming is the same.

The biggest overall advantage in business, of getting your right intuitive brain fully operational, is the ability to “intuitively know” what the other person is thinking and what their real objections are. Not their “professed” objections but the real unspoken ones. By using a special alpha technique, you can actually pre-program to find out what it is they really want in advance. This gives the businessman or woman a tremendous advantage when the actual “crunch” time comes!

And it is an observable fact that those who practice alpha/theta techniques tend to progress quickly up through the ranks – all else being equal.

The reason – you have developed mind powers that others simply do not have. And if you use these regularly you have a massive advantage that others are totally unaware of.  This is why most mind-course graduates seldom ever mention their training to outsiders. They are usually told during their mind-course, instructional program to keep it to themselves.

And it makes sense …… because mind-power knowledge is an exclusive club!

The whole field of mind-power in the western world is in its infancy. And because it will make a lot of people nervous there will not be too much media education about it. It will creep up on us in the same manner that computers have.

Ignore this emerging field at your own peril!!!

3 Limitations To Mind Power

The power of the mind itself is limitless, as it can influence our circumstances both physical and otherwise. The only limitations which this tremendous power has lies in the individuals. We determine how our mind power works and whether it will work positively for us.

When the disciples saw Jesus Christ walking on water towards them, at Peter’s beckoning, Jesus told Peter to come to him and Peter started walking on the water.  But suddenly he was distracted by the waves and he allowed some limitation to prevent him from exercising the power of his mind and he started to sink until Jesus Christ rescued him. It is important to note that Peter had first walked on water before he started sinking and this means that the idea had taken hold of his mind and given him faith to do the Lord’s bidding. We shall examine three limitations which usually militate against the successful exercise of our mind power.

1.    FEAR:    Fear and faith are opposites and cannot sit together at the same table. The absence of fear indicates the presence of faith and vice versa. Fear, in this context, means acknowledging that the prevailing circumstances are outside your control. Faith does not mean that you do not see all around you, rather that you only acknowledge the circumstances which you have set in your mind. Imagine that Peter had focused on getting to the Lord instead of acknowledging the fact that he was walking on water, would he have started sinking? I think not. He allowed his fear of the prevailing circumstances to replace the idea in his mind. This cost him control of his mind power.

2.    DOUBT:         This is an offshoot of fear. You might be able to recall a time when you had a doubt that you could do something and that doubt actually prevented you from doing it. Where there is fear, doubt will definitely materialize. They are bed mates and faithful companions. Peter’s fear created doubt in his mind that he could make it to where Jesus was and this doubt in turn prevented him from doing so.

3.    NEGATIVE THOUGHTS:    This is also related to fear as most people who react negatively to their circumstances are likely to start exhibiting fear. This fear in turn creates a doubt in their minds that they can make the changes they actually desire. These feelings result in a negative pattern of thoughts which then begin to eat away at the person until the individual loses control of his/her mind power. The erosion of the mind power is usually not particularly obvious until negative circumstances begin to manifest.

While these three elements exert a negative drain on mind power, all three have their inception within the confines of the mind.  Many false beliefs may have their roots deep within the subconscious mind causing you to react in a certain fashion without being aware of the reason for your reaction.  Therefore, by learning some time tested techniques to strengthen the power of the mind, you can lessen the grip of these limitations, and the effects they have on your life.

While the power of the mind is indeed limitless, there are some things that will serve as limitations to the effective use of your mind.

This world was created out of nothingness. We are told by Biblical accounts that the earth was void and without form and from that, God created all of what we see around us today. It is truly amazing how everything came into existence. We have come a long way in God’s creation and the truth is that we are all endowed with that power with which God created this beautiful world. The greatest inventions did not simply manifest in this world, but were created out of nothingness. Powerful minds were able to tap into that God power within themselves and create something which would benefit the entire world.

It is incumbent upon mankind to grow on creation. The secrets have been there for ages. We call them secrets but the truth is that they are decipherable in our surroundings and in our interactions. Those who have been fortunate to possess the ability to create and project a strong mind power have always determined the fate and destiny of those who do not. The sad fact today is that most people are content to allow others to dictate their destinies, even when it is obviously not favorable to them. Unfortunately, most people choose to ignore these pretty obvious principles and for this simple reason, there are many followers and few leaders. The following are three reasons why you should strive to develop your mind power.

1. To achieve greatness. Greatness is only an outward manifestation of an inward quality. True greatness begins on the inside of every man. Each and every man who has ever achieved something worthwhile in this world has always stated that his success started with a belief in himself and that belief was a result of a carefully built powerful subconscious mind.

2. To maximize your potential. It is always possible to find some people who just appear to have “made it.” But someone who was born into a rich family and does not do what is necessary to develop his mind power has a good chance of losing his wealth. The truth is, wealth itself is a mindset and for those who lack positive mind power, it is difficult to manage it.

3. To advance the cause of mankind. The advancement of mankind should be at the center of any venture. Why embark on a venture if it will ultimately lead to the destruction of people or their personal or collective destinies? The sole aim of developing your mind power should be to cause some positive advancement in the evolution of mankind.

We the People of the world, in order to form a more positive mindset, eliminate negativity, insure inner tranquility, provide for the needs of mankind, promote the general well being of our spirits, and secure financial independence for ourselves and our posterity, do covenant to learn the simple but potent secrets of mind power.

Mind Power Secrets – The Power Of Belief

Of all the mind power secrets known to man, belief is by far the most the most powerful of them all. The power of belief is essential to the achievement of your goals, your dreams and your aspirations in life. How can you expect to accomplish anything if you don’t have an internal belief that you are capable of accomplishing the task in question? The power of belief is reflected in the statement by Henry Ford, “If you think you can do a thing or think you can’t do a thing, you’re right.”

Napoleon Hill is an American author widely recognized as the founder of personal success literature. One of his most famous quotes, “What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve,” sets forth two fundamentals necessary for achievement in any area. The first requirement is the ability to conceive. This is not such a difficult task for most people. If you can dream, if you can use your imagination, you can conceive. Conception is a product of the conscious mind.

The second part of the equation is where people have more difficulty. Belief is deeply rooted in the subconscious mind. The thoughts and principles which help to compose your belief system have been planted and growing in your subconscious mind since infancy. The person whose childhood was filled with supportive, positive and self-empowering beliefs will be miles ahead of the one whose only exposure was to negativity, criticism and ridicule.

You can conceive in your conscious mind that you are strong, independent and prosperous, but if you don’t believe in your subconscious mind that you are capable or worthy of these goals, you will never achieve them. You must believe first in your worthiness to receive, then in your ability to attain.

The Bible also references the importance of belief. In Mark 11:24 Jesus said “whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Belief is fundamental.

So what is belief, really? Belief is simply a thought that is accepted as a truth by your conscious mind and your subconscious mind. Thoughts are processed first on the conscious level. In fact, your conscious mind will act as a filter or layer or protection for your subconscious mind. This is the reason why beliefs can be so difficult to access and change.

Is it possible to dis-empower, strengthen or even change one’s beliefs? Absolutely! This is where mind power secrets come into play. Since beliefs are seated on the subconscious level, you can learn to use mind power secrets to engage the subconscious mind through repetitive affirmations, meditation, hypnosis and various other methods.

The power of belief can be your strongest ally, or you greatest foe. Henry Ford had another powerful quote: “One of the greatest discoveries a man makes, one of his great surprises, is to find he can do what he was afraid he couldn’t do.” What do you believe is possible for you?

Belief becomes powerful once your subconscious mind accepts that belief as truth. Saying with your lips and with your conscious mind “I believe I can…” one or two times will not change much. Incorporating that statement into an affirmation that you repeat daily, several times per day, will effect changes in your life.

You may be asking yourself, “what are affirmations and what if anything does it have to do with mind power, or me?” Affirmations are statements which through frequent repetition influence the thinking and beliefs of the subconscious mind. Generally, affirmations are thought of in the context of being positive, but to have a clear understanding of the power of affirmations you must realize that negative affirmations can also exist, and their presence in your subconscious mind can be the source of many problems in your life.

From birth up to the time we are about six years old, our parents are the primary sculptor of our subconscious minds. If your parents constantly criticized, ridiculed and belittled you, then there is a significant chance that you deal with issues of doubt and self-worth in your life. On the other hand if you had parents that were encouraging you and praising your efforts, you likely carry an air of self-confidence and positive beliefs in your everyday life.

It is my hope that you experienced a positive childhood at home, but oftentimes other people can speak negative things into our lives. Teachers, classmates, siblings or other family members and even strangers can plant negative thoughts and images into your psyche. They become lodged there and without intervention of some sort, like a seed that is planted, it takes root and grows in your mind. Each time you attempt to step out and do something new and allow the negative thoughts to hinder you, that negative belief is strengthened and soon becomes your “truth.”

The good news is by learning to use positive affirmations, those negative beliefs can be overwritten thanks to the power of your mind. Just as a re-writable compact disc can be written over with new material leaving the old material no longer accessible, likewise the negative information stored in your subconscious can be written over with new positive information that will serve you well.

Positive affirmations are statements that you repeat to yourself which plant positive ideas and suggestions into your brain. The repetitive process enables the subconscious mind to absorb these statements at its own pace and with time will come to accept these new positive beliefs as truth, replacing the negative self-defeating thoughts that keep you from achieving your goals. This transformation can occur much more quickly than you might think.

Affirmations are powerful tools for change, yet they are often an overlooked resource. Understand that affirmations are even more powerful when you create them for yourself. In this way they are personal to you and your circumstances.

As you learn to incorporate affirmations into your life you will realize that it is more than just word repetition. It will make you aware of your words and your thoughts as you go about your day and soon you will find yourself choosing to think only positive thoughts. You will then be well on the way to unleashing the power of your mind.

Affirmations are simple statements you repeat to yourself to insert positive ideas and suggestions into your mind. It is a form of constructive self talk. Are you using positive affirmations to help you reach your goals?
